Extremely Eventful Week, Literally
A lot of events are taking place in Singapore this week, and in all areas that I am interested in:
20 August 2007 (Monday)
- State of Play V
- I am pretty interested in this one. But sadly I had to skip this to do some work so that I can attend the other events.
21 August 2007 (Tuesday)
- Flash Forward
- Directly involved in this as Ping.sg and Gratisvibes are both supporting this event. Editors from Gratisvibes and Electronic Music Lab will also be going down to DJ for this event, spinning some Creative Commons-licensed music.
22 August 2007 (Wednesday)
- Launch of Global Poker Strategic Thinking Society
- I have met Mr. Nesson on Saturday and being an avid poker player myself, I truly support what he is doing - to teach poker to students and to change the general views on poker as a skill game rather than a game of luck. - NTU E&I Networking Tea Session
- Hi-tea with the local entrepreneurs.
- (Unfortunately these 2 events clash. I’m going to have to decide which one I should be going)
23 August 2007 (Thursday)
- Non-eventful day = Work day
24 August 2007 (Friday)
- WOMAD Singapore 2007
- 3-day annual world music festival. I will definitely attend Friday’s, still undecided on Sat’s and Sun’s.
25 August 2007 (Saturday)
- Silentt: Living Through Circuitry
- A major electronic music event.
- My friend, ikuma will be performing. (Tsk… he’s also the editor of Gratisvibes)
Rushing off to Zouk now for soundcheck. See you guys later in the evening if you are coming for the Flash Forward party.
