Going Back Soon

My 1-week break is coming to the end soon. I’m currently at my girlfriend’s place and will be going back to Singapore tomorrow night.

I should say my 1-week break is well spent. I’ve met Sek Ling a couple of times and also stayed home with parents a couple of days. Spent my free times, when Sek Ling’s working or when parents are not around, reading up on PHP, especially PHP5 and PHP Framework. I think it is time to bring my web development skills to the next level. There are some projects waiting to be done this holiday and I’m looking forward to doing them. It’s been awhile since I’ve last done any major web development works, and now that I’m better equipped with new skills, I can’t wait to dirty my hands with some web development works again.

Thanks so much to my girl for hosting me for a few days at her place. Her job is still really tough, but I’m glad to see that it is improving lately. Seeing her smile lately when she left her workplace is priceless. It’s been awhile since she has been able to feel good after working all day, especially working non-stop all day without any lunch break and until late in the evening! Her work condition has improved now and will continue to improve in the future. I can see her settle down with her work and not feel bad about work really soon. You’ve done well, girl. I’m so proud of you! I doubt that I could withstand the pressure that you’ve gone through but you’ve made it!

Had some nice talk with parents too even though they, too, have been really busy with work.

A part of me feel reluctant to leave my loved ones here in Malaysia and a part of me is worried about my work which has been piling up in Singapore. Anyway, I would say this 1-week break is really well-spent. I would definitely miss my family and my darling in Singapore, but I will make sure I work hard. I know I can’t be nothing as near as Sek Ling when it comes to working hard, if I could do half I would be happy enough.

Hope I will spend this precious 3-month holiday really well. I really need to get a lot of things done before semester resumes.
