Poker is Coming to Town

Poker is going to be big in Singapore pretty soon. Yes, you hear it here first. As a poker player myself, I’m really happy for that. No longer have I need to wait for weeks just to have a single home game at the other end of the island.

Not only is Singapore going to be hosting the first Asian Poker Tour, Singapore is going to be probably one of the first Asian countries to show poker on its national TV.

WPT Enterprises announced that it had inked a deal with Macau Cable in Macau and MediaCorp in Singapore to air the WPT (World Poker Tour).

Macau Cable will soon air the first season of the WPT, while MediaCorp, the largest broadcaster in Singapore, will start with the second season.

Even though WPT isn’t really a great poker show, but I believe it is good enough to spark a lot of interest among the locals.

Looking forward for the poker boom in Singapore. :)
